Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is moderately high altitude forest area in Uttarakhand/Uttaranchal. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Almora District of Uttarakhand. The stretched forest (45.59 square KM area) having two part where tourists can stay. One side is Eco-Binsar and another side is Binsar Wildlife, obviously this place is situated in more interior area of forest. This is a heaven for bird watcher in Uttarakhand. The forest is home of numerous types of birds. Tourist can enjoy offbeat night stay inside jungle along with calm and close nature at Binsar.
How to reach:
From Delhi Bus service available to Nainital. To go by Train need to catch Delhi to Kathgodam route’s Train, this is the nearest Railway station to reach Nainital. Distance of Kathgodam to Nainital is around 24KMs, take around 1.5hr by cab. Bus service also there, but frequency need to check. Form Nainital to Binsar it takes around 3.5 hrs by reserved cab, 85kms approx. Almora to Binsar it takes around 1.5 hrs by reserved cab, 24kms approx.
