Darjeeling is located in northern part of West Bengal. Darjeeling is called as “The Queen of Hills”. The Darjeeling town and the district is surrounded by mountains and situated in Darjeeling Himalayan hill region. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak and the range is situated in the backdrop of Darjeeling. For its beauty the place has been a favorite hill station among tourists from long back. Darjeeling, the British settlement used to be summer capital of India during British rule. Darjeeling is carrying prominent impression here and there of British rule those invoke some nostalgia within tourists. Though Darjeeling has been a congested place but still is offer super cold weather, Toy train, more than 100 years old settlements and shops and Kanchenjunga.
How to reach:
Reach Siliguri or Bagdogra via Train or Flight. Darjeeling is around 80 km from Siliguri. Shared bus and cab service available between 7am to 3pm from Siliguri.
