Jhalong is located near India-Bhutan border in the Kalimpong subdivision of Darjeeling. The small village situated on the banks of Jaldhaka river. India’s first hydroelectric project developed here on the Jaldhaka River. The village in Himalayan foothills and various hill as well as migratory birds are point of interest for nature lovers. Jhalong is relatively big village in Jaldhaka valley, along with different hilly birds here tourists can see simple village life situated at Himalayan foothill.

Jhalong is around 99 Km. from Siliguri via Chalsa.
