Lachung is a hill town, located at north Sikkim. Lachung has been described as the “most picturesque village of Sikkim”, in true sense it is. Here inhabitants are of mostly Lepcha and Tibetan descent. Lachung is base camp of Rhododendron Valley trek towards Yumthang. During winter the high altitude village remains covered under snow. Scenic beauty of the riverside village is superb tourists love to spend their leisure in the lap of nature. How to reach:
Siliguri to Gangtok it takes around 4 hrs, approx 114 Km. Gangtok to Lachung is around 103Km, takes around 6 hrs as road condition remains not good.
